I grew up around computers and was exposed early to the value of programs like Microsoft Office. Most of my computer literacy came from years of personal and professional trial and error—learning through experience rather than formal instruction. Even in today’s world of cloud computing and AI, there are still many people who struggle with technology or never had the opportunity to fully learn it. Programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe may seem simple to some, but to others they can feel overwhelming.

Modern smartphones are more powerful than many computers from the past, yet most people only use a small portion of what these devices are actually capable of.

While some people understand concepts like cloud systems, firewalls, antivirus software, and multi-factor authentication, many others are still trying to navigate technology in ways that make sense to them.

That’s one of the reasons I enjoy working in IT—helping bridge the gap between people and technology through patience, communication, and real-world support.
